Over the past few years, I've been a fan Ms. Say Tioco, a beauty and lifestyle vlogger based here in the Philippines. She's been on this industry since 2010. I actually followed her channel and watched her videos. She do make-up reviews, swatches, and updates on what's new to her. She likes to travel alone -Bali and Japan are just one of her favorites. She is a strong, intelligent, and independent women I look up to. And she has a dog named Kaimu. She loves Kaimu, I love Kaimu too. :)

Mid 2020, she launched a podcast in Spotify entitled, AskSay: The Podcast, wherein she shares what she learned in life, about being independent, her profession, passion, travel, etc. For me, her podcast was a breathe of fresh air. Every time I listened to her, I feel like I am with a friend who makes chika like "girl, nakakaloka as-in! Her podcast inspired and motivated me to work on myself to become a better individual.
Here are some of my favorite episodes I always listen to, took notes while listening:
"Everyone has different priorities and different goals in their life. People have different goals and dreams, what may seem little to you may be the world to them and vice versa. It all boils down to seriously focusing on your own journey."
"Comparing yourself to other people is a disservice to you. When you get to the root - the very core of what you are and who you are as a person, that's where everything begins."
"Trust your journey. Life's too short to be looking at your neighbor's life and wishing every single day 'sana ganyan ang buhay ko'. Take all off that effort and invest all of it improving your won life, with the goal to compete with old version of you and nobody else. Kailangan ang kakompitensya mo is yung ano ka kahapon."
"There is only one you in the whole universe. And you are capable of doing anything you put your heart into."
"Realize that attachment is the root of all suffering. Attachments are the enemy, there's one thing and only one thing that causes unhappiness, the name of the thing is attachment. Attachments to an image you have of a person, attachments to wealth and status, attachment to a certain place or time, attachments to a job or to a lifestyle, and all those things are dangerous for one reason, they are outside of our reason choice. How long we keep them is not in our control, our attachment are what make it so hard to accept change. Once we have them, we don't want them to let them go. We become slaves to maintaining the status quo. But we have to remember that everything is in a constant state of change. The things we are attached to can come and go, only our choice is adaptable. The sooner we become aware of these the better. The easier it will be to accept and adapt to what does happen."
"NO means a better yes. Just because you didn't get it doesn't mean you're not worth it, its because you're worth more. Receiving a no, means that the universe (God) is rerouting your life to a path you're meant to take and thrive in."
"Do not hold space for something that is not meant to be in your life. What's coming is so much better than what has gone."
As of now, she has 28 episode uploaded in her podcast. Episode 28 is very interesting topic because it talks about friendship. Go check her podcast, you'll learn many from her. You may also check her in her Youtube Channel, or click the link here.
